Qualifying as a chartered surveyor during his employ at Jones Lang Wootton's City office in King Street during 1980, James has practiced in central London since that time.

First employed as a trainee surveyor in 1975 under the training programme of the Inland Revenue, spending two years with the office of the District Valuer in Wolverhampton, a natural progression into the private sector saw James joining JLW in 1979 having first completed his degree in Urban Estate Management.

The next four years were spent at Weatherall Green and Smith in Chancery Lane. During which time he notably sold the Round Oak Steelworks to Richardson Developments, who went on to create the internationally renowned Merry Hill shopping centre; he later joined Fuller Peiser in Mayfair during 1986. A yearning to run a practice of his own was finally realised in July 1987 as Lewis Doyle chartered surveyors commenced trading in Knightsbridge.

A career-long professional colleague of James from the late 1970s at JLW, Chris has a broad mandate within the practice specialising in investment purchase and appraisal, valuation and professional advice.

Peter a Structural Engineer, a consultant to the practice, is senior partner of Bryan Packman Marcel based in Pimlico.
An encyclopaedic knowledge of all matters pertaining to construction and cost engineering, together with an extensive background in project management, his experience and scientific background bring true depth to the Partnership.

Fiona, who joined Lewis Doyle in the late 1990s when the firm was based in Brompton Road, has been responsible for considerable improvements in the efficiency of the business. Her partnership with Marissa has seen strides forward being made in the computerisation of the Practice.

Professional bookkeeper Marissa has worked with the partnership for the past five years and brought her considerable financial skills to bear in running an efficient and increasingly computerised organisation.
